Associates
This is a pub game for any number of players. (Best with more than one).
It doesn't have to be played in a pub, but it helps.
The first player says a word. For example, banana.
The second player makes an association with that word. For example, banana
split.
The next player continues with an association to the last word from the
previous player. For example, splitting the atom.
And so it continues. Be as strict or as lazy with the rules as the group
sees fit. Perhaps you would allow the sequence above to continue with
"A tom cat chases a mouse called Jerry in several cartoons."
The game end when a player wins or loses. A player wins by finding a
way back to the first word. A player loses by being unable to think up
an association in a reasonable time.
Those are the basic rules, but the main thing is to be creative.
