Reminder 97

2 installation.)
Reminder 97 is a suite of programs which will remind you of all the important
events in your life... birthdays, holidays etc. Dont forget to buy
that magazine, or download that anti-virus update. With Reminder 97 you
can set up messages to be displayed to you every day, once a week, monthly,
annually, or on a special occasion. (Note: Reminder 97 checks for messages
on Windows startup, so it is not suitable for people who leave their PC's
on overnight.)
BUG FIX! Version 4.3 contains a fix to a bug which meant that today's
messages would not be displayed the second time you checked reminders
on one day in certain circumstances. Also, startup options in the Set
Reminders program were not always set properly.
Users of Reminder 32 should upgrade to the version, as it provides all
the functionality, and more, of your current application, and is much
nicer to use. Your old messages will be imported, but nothing will be
deleted from your existing setup, so should you find that you don't
like 97, you can safely uninstall it and go back to 32.
Users of version 4.1 please note the following minor modifications which
were made in version 4.2 upwards: First, the Reminder program will now
run even if Set Reminders is active. This will be useful if your system
crashes for any reason while a part of Reminder 97 running, but makes
no other difference. If your PC should crash at such a time,
4.1 users should run Set Reminders immediately on re-starting Windows,
which will clean up the message file. The second change is the new installation
routine, which is more compact and efficient than the old one. This means
that the Admin page of Set Reminders has changed slightly, and the Help
file (which has not been changed) is slightly out of date.
