Privacy information

1. Cookies. We use a cookie stored on your computer to identify you once you have signed on to the QuizBank server. This is necessary to play the game, but no information apart from your account number is sent to or from your computer via cookies.
2. Email addresses. We hold your email address only for the purpose of informing you about changes to your account. After you have activated your account you can choose to delete your email address from the information we hold, however we recommend that you do not do this. Your email address is never divulged to other players or organisations.
3. Your user name may be displayed in the Hall of Fame or similar locations, to indicate your ranking amongst the other players. You can specify a screen name to be displayed instead if you wish.
4. Your location may similarly be included in the Hall of Fame and other areas, but this is an entirely optional piece of information.
5. Your PIN is used solely to authenticate you to the QuizBank server. Do not use a payment card PIN for this game, as you are not playing on a secure server.
6. Your account number is your unique identifier in the game (it is possible to have duplicate user names or screen names), and it is used solely for identification purposes.
7. If any change is made to this privacy information, or a major change is made to the QuizBank rules, you will be notified by email at least seven days before the change becomes effective. A notice will also be put on the QuizBank home page at the same time, for the benefit of players who have erased their email addresses.
